Door Systems
Trade and Domestic Supplies
A unique and patented window system, which ensures a safe, secure, ligature free environment, whilst restricting the passing of drugs and other contraband, is being launched in the United States at the 7th Design & Health World Congress & Expo in Boston, 7-9 July.
The innovative and multi-award winning Safevent window system is the brainchild of UK based Safevent Systems Group who initially developed the window to address issues arising when trying to create a safe environment for patients in secure mental health units.
Owing to their unique design Safevent windows generate maximum levels of natural ventilation so reducing a building’s carbon emissions and improving living conditions for all users. It is as a result of this positive impact on a building’s environmental performance that the Safevent system is now being specified across a wide range of healthcare buildings plus projects including education, leisure, custodial and commercial building projects where environmentally friendly products and systems are key drivers.
Safevent Systems Group have worked in partnership with many of the UK’s NHS Trusts, market leading private healthcare groups, as well as with architects and contractors.
The Safevent window comprises a double fronted window and a free sliding internal or external sash. The window has one glazed area and the other is fitted with a stainless steel mesh. The mesh is barely visible so delivers security in a sensitive and subtle manner.
The windows are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard and every component can withstand considerable force. Safevent Systems Group fabricates Upvc, aluminium, steel and timber frame systems with many glazing options to accommodate performance or environmental targets. Manual, mechanical and electronic versions are available.
The Group has now installed over 12,000 Safevent windows on more than 200 projects across the UK and internationally as far afield as Australasia.
A team from the Safevent Systems Group will be in Boston at the World Congress & Expo from 7-9 July and in the United States and available for meetings on the East Coast until July 17th.
