Awards Glory for Britplas
Our unique and patented Safevent anti-ligature window system, which addresses issues arising when trying to create a safe environment, has helped Britplas notch up a string of national and international awards.
In 2008, Britplas won Building Better Healthcare’s Best Healthcare Construction Product, celebrating best practice and world-class architecture, design, facilities and estates management in healthcare and projects which have helped create well-designed, therapeutic places aiding recovery.
Britplas’ Safevent window system also notched up the coveted prize for Product Design for Healthcare Application in the 2009 Design & Health International Academy Awards in Singapore, celebrating the most forward-thinking healthcare projects from around the world.
Praise was again heaped on Safevent when Merseyside Care NHS Trust won the Hospital Security award in the Health Business Awards 2009, recognising the contributions made by NHS Trusts and the individuals they employ. Merseyside Care NHS Trust invited Britplas to design an anti-ligature window for use in their Rathbone Secure Unit.
